What we do, what we refuse, and why the distinction matters more than any individual project.
The principle
Academic work is assessed on what a student can do and understand. Anything that misrepresents that — however it is packaged — damages the student most of all, because the qualification stops meaning what it is supposed to mean.
ScholarCraft provides support that builds capability. Tuition, guidance, method, analysis, technical work, design and review. Not substitution.
What we do

- Explain concepts, methods and statistical output until they make sense
- Give structural and critical feedback on your own drafts
- Design research, advise on methodology, and justify the choices
- Run data analysis and explain what the results mean and do not mean
- Build software, websites and data systems, with documentation
- Design presentations, posters and reports from your own content
- Proofread, edit for clarity, and correct referencing
- Run an authorised similarity check and interpret the report with you
- Prepare you for a viva by asking the questions examiners will ask
What we refuse
What we will not do
- Writing an assignment, essay, dissertation or thesis to be submitted as your own
- Sitting an exam, test or assessed online session in your place
- Logging into your university account or any institutional system
- Guaranteeing a grade, a pass, publication or acceptance
- Helping to evade Turnitin, AI detection or any integrity tool
- Fabricating data, results, participants or sources
- Ghost-writing a journal article for submission under someone else's name alone
- Reselling or reusing work produced for another client
These refusals hold regardless of the fee offered, the deadline, or how the request is framed. If we decline, we will say so plainly and explain what we can do instead.
The boundary is set by your institution
Institutions differ. Most explicitly permit proofreading, statistical consultancy, tuition and technical support; the exact wording varies, particularly around how much editing of your own text is acceptable.
Find your academic integrity policy, read what it says about external assistance, and tell us. We will work inside it. If a policy forbids something we would otherwise do, the policy wins.
A word about AI detectors
AI-writing detectors produce false positives, and disproportionately so for writers using English as an additional language. That is a real problem and we have sympathy for anyone caught by it.
The answer is not to buy a service that claims to defeat the detector — those claims are unreliable and the risk sits entirely with you. The answer is evidence of process: keep your drafts, your notes, your reading and your version history. That answers the question properly.

Common questions
Almost universally, no. Tuition, statistical consultancy, proofreading and technical support are permitted by the great majority of institutions. What is forbidden everywhere is submitting someone else's work as your own, which is precisely what we do not provide.
We are confidential and do not contact institutions. But the more useful point is that legitimate support is not something you need to hide — many students acknowledge statistical or editorial support openly, and some departments expect it.
We tell you clearly, explain why, and offer the nearest thing we can legitimately do. We do not lecture, and we do not report anyone.
