Who we are

ScholarCraft Consultancy Services ("ScholarCraft", "we", "us") operates scholarcraft-consultancy-services.in and provides academic, research, data, technical, creative and business consultancy services.

What we collect

• Contact details — name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number, and country, when you submit a form or create an account.
• Project information — the brief you describe, your deadline, your user type and the service you need.
• Files you upload — documents, datasets, drafts, CVs and portfolios.
• Account data — a hashed password (never the password itself), your referral code, and your account preferences.
• Google sign-in data — if you choose "Continue with Google", we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We never receive your Google password.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security, abuse prevention and site improvement.

Why we use it

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build a profile of you for marketing purposes.

• To respond to your enquiry and deliver the service you requested.
• To send you a reference number, acknowledgement and status updates.
• To operate your account, dashboard and referral code.
• To prevent spam, abuse and fraudulent submissions.
• To meet accounting and legal obligations.

Who can see it

We disclose personal data to anyone else only where we are legally required to.

• ScholarCraft staff involved in scoping, delivering or reviewing your project.
• The expert partner allocated to your project, limited to what the work requires, and always under a signed confidentiality agreement.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the site and database on our behalf.
• Our email provider, which transmits notification and acknowledgement emails.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.

How long we keep it

You can ask us to delete your data sooner. We will do so unless we are legally required to keep a record, and we will confirm once it is done.

• Project files — retained for up to 12 months after completion so you can request them again, then deleted.
• Enquiry records — retained for up to 3 years for reference, dispute resolution and accounting.
• Account data — retained while your account is open; deleted on request or after an extended period of inactivity.
• Technical logs — retained for a short period for security purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, or withdraw consent where our use is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email us. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge you for a reasonable request.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Uploaded files are stored outside the public web directory, under randomised names, and are served only through an authenticated request that verifies who is asking.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.

International transfers

ScholarCraft works with clients and expert partners worldwide, so your data may be processed outside your country. Where that happens we require the same confidentiality and security standards described in this policy.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email.
