How your documents, data and identity are handled — in practice, not just in the policy.
Your work is yours
Nothing you send us is published, shared, resold, used as a sample or shown to another client. Not anonymised, not "as an example", not ever.
That applies to drafts, data, commercial documents and the simple fact that you are a client at all.
Who can see what
- The specialist working on your project sees the material needed to do the work, and nothing beyond it.
- The reviewer sees the deliverable and the brief.
- Every expert partner signs a confidentiality agreement before receiving any client material.
- Administrative staff see contact and project-status information, not your documents.
- Where data is sensitive, we work on de-identified extracts or run analysis inside your own environment instead.
Where files live and how long they stay
Uploaded files are stored outside the public web directory on the server, under randomised names, and are only ever served back through an authenticated request that checks who is asking.
Project files are retained for a limited period after completion so you can ask for them again, then deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any point and we will confirm once it is done.
What we do
- Files stored outside the web root, never directly downloadable by URL
- Access checked against the account that owns the record
- Transport encrypted with HTTPS throughout
- Passwords stored only as salted hashes, never in readable form
- Deletion on request, confirmed back to you
NDAs and formal agreements
For commercial and research work, a confidentiality agreement is normal and we expect it. Send your own or use ours — either way it is signed before we see anything sensitive.
For institutional clients we can also work to your data-governance requirements, including arrangements where data never leaves your infrastructure.
