Effect sizes, pooled models, heterogeneity, subgroup and sensitivity analysis, forest and funnel plots — with the assumptions stated.
Pooling studies is the easy part. The judgement is in whether they should be pooled at all, which model to use, and how to report heterogeneity honestly.
We compute effect sizes from whatever the papers report — means and SDs, odds ratios, correlations, or test statistics — fit fixed or random-effects models with justification, and run subgroup and sensitivity analyses that test whether the result holds.
Work is done in R (metafor, meta), Stata or RevMan, and you receive the script so the analysis is reproducible and defensible at viva.
That is normal. Many effect sizes can be reconstructed from test statistics, confidence intervals or figures; where they genuinely cannot, we document the exclusion.
